Overview

The Institute of Cosmetology (IOC) is YTEPP’s premier training salon and spa, designed to prepare students for professional careers in the beauty and wellness industry.

At IOC, trainees gain hands-on experience while working toward recognized certifications in cosmetology, guided by international standards and best practices.

Entry Requirements
To be considered for enrollment in the Institute of Cosmetology, applicants must meet the following criteria.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Level I certification or at least Two (2) years’ experience in beauty/ personal care services (with two references).
  • Three (3) CSEC / O’Levels passes (Math, English and Science subject).
  • Must be between 16 and 60 years of age.
Registration Requirements
Once accepted, applicants are required to submit clear copies of the following documents:
  • Proof of payment: Registration Fee – $200.00 (non-refundable)
  • One (1) passport-sized photograph
  • Valid photo identification (National ID, Driver’s Permit, or Passport)
  • Electronic Birth Certificate
  • Original and copies of all academic/professional certificates
Services
As part of their learning, students provide a wide range of salon and spa services to real clients. This “learn-by-doing” approach allows trainees to refine their technical and customer service skills in a professional setting, all under the supervision of certified, highly skilled instructors.
