The Culinary Arts Institute is designed along the lines of a teaching restaurant in which students will receive training in all aspects of the food service industry including basic food preparation, menu planning and customer service. This building has a teaching kitchen, specialized demonstration classroom, bakery, production hot kitchen, cafeteria/restaurant and a space for hosting events. The cafeteria/restaurant will be operated by the students in training, enabling them to gain ‘real work’ experience and business awareness while refining their food preparation and customer service skills. This cafeteria/restaurant will be the sole dining facility for the entire Woodford Lodge Integrated Campus, therefore having a customer base from YTEPP, NESC and MIC staff and students.  . This facility will prepare students for a number of possible careers in the hospitality industry such as: Chef, Sous Chef, Pastry Chef, Baker, Caterer, Restaurant Manager, Maitre D, Cook. Training will be at CVQ Level 1 and 3.
